Atom AE, U11 Boys, 2014-2015 (Mitchell Minor Hockey)

Congratulations boys on a FANTASTIC Season! The Thomspon Atom AEs swept their WOAA League and their OMHA – WOAA Division championship series with the Hanover Falcons with a 3-2 overtime victory Sunday March 22 in Hanover. ​

Fresh off their ouster from the OMHA quarterfinals the Thomson Atom AE team faced a tough Kincardine team in the second game of their Neilson league playoff round robin Feb. 25.             

The Thompson Atom AE’s closed out their OMHA second round series with two straight wins against a tough Wingham team.   In Wingham on February 5 the AE’s pulled out a tough win in a back-and-forth battle.   Spencer Boyce opened the scoring for Mitchell early in the first period with assists from Daniel Reidy and Xavier Lorentz.  Wingham tied it up a couple of minutes later.  Mitchell retook the lead late in the first with a goal from Jamie Feltz.

The Thompson's Atom AE team began their playoff quest this past Sunday with a win against the West Grey Warriors.  The boys came out flying and never looked back. 

The Thompson Atom AE played two tight games this past week.  In the first game Mitchell battled Listowel to a 1-1 draw behind a solid effort in net from Charlie Wood.  Listowel opened the scoring early in the second period, but Mitchell fought right back.  Drew Partridge tied the game less than a minute left on assists by Daniel Reidy and Andrew Van Bakel.
