Heartbreak is the only way to describe the Game 5 defeat Sunday, Jan. 25 by the Terry’s Auto Service Midgets. Up 3-2 in the late stages of the deciding game of their hard-fought ‘CC’ series, Minto scored goals 28-seconds apart in the final minute to stun their hosts and steal a 4-3 win and claim the series.

Dan Skinner was sharp in net as the Mitchell Midget Meteors recorded their second straight shutout Monday, Jan. 19, defeating the visiting Minto Mad Dogs 2-0 to take a 2-1 series lead in their best-of-five (six-point) opening OMHA 'CC' playoff series.

Evan Chaffe’s second period goal and some stellar penalty killing were keys for the Terry’s Auto Service Midgets, who squared their best-of-five ‘CC’ series at 1-1 with Minto on Thursday, Jan. 15. Mitchell killed off two separate two-man disadvantages, one in the first period and another late in the second, just after Chaffe’s tip-in goal with three minutes to go in the middle period.

Despite averaging one goal in each of their last four games, the Terry's Auto Service Midgets have lost just once over that span. Their third game in four nights didn't seem to faze the Midgets Monday as they got a first period marker from Devon Schinbein who made no mistake on his partial breakaway for the only goal the Meteors would need in a 1-0 win over visiting Chatsworth. Tyler Smith made a dandy cross-ice pass to spring Schinbein who blasted the puck home. Tyler Meinen recorded his first shutout of the season and earned it, looking confident and steady between the pipes.

The Terry's Auto Service Midgets scored two power play goals and were stellar in their penalty killing in leading to their 4-1 win over Mount Forest Monday in their opening round robin game of their Wingham Regional Silver Stick tournament.
