Meteors Take Down Ice Dogs
The Thompsons Atom AE Meteors hosted their league rival BCH Ice Dogs on Sunday evening in WOAA round robin play and the home team would come out on the winning end of the match with a 4-1 score. The first period saw end to end action but neither team would be able to get on the scoreboard despite good chances at both ends of the ice.

In the second period, with the play becoming increasingly intense and rough, Brayden Glauser would open scoring for the Meteors after gaining control of the puck in front of the net and firing a quick shot past the BCH goalie. The Meteors would strike again with 4 minutes left in the period as Lucas Roobroeck would find himself in perfect position to score after a rebound shot from Kyle Mills. Both teams would see five penalties a piece in the high energy second period.

Mitchell would add some insurance to their lead just 15 seconds into the third period as Jaxen Hartwig would knock in a quick shot to put the Meteors up 3-0. BCH, however was not giving up the fight and would answer back 2 minutes later with a goal of their own. Mitchell continued to work hard and battle for the win as deep in the Clinton zone, Brayden Glauser would make a perfect pass to Ethan Meinen in front of the net to score the final goal of the game. The strong defensive play of Roobroeck, Logan Ruby, Jake Crowley and Evan O'Rourke continued as they worked hard to keep Clinton from gaining any scoring chances as the clock ticked down.

The Meteors will face BCH for a rematch on Tuesday evening in Bayfield.
