Meteors Grind Out Overtime Victory Over IceDogs
The Thompsons A Meteors travelled to Bayfield Wednesday night to wrap up their WOAA round robin.  With several close games between these teams throughout the year, fans knew they were in for a barn burner.  The boys didnt dissapoint.  The Meteors started with a very strong first period controlling the play and applying pressure on the BCH goalie.

After several good chances, with 2 minutes left in the first,  Metoers defencemen Evan O'Rourke buried his first of the year to put Mitchell up 1 to 0 with Kyle Mills earning the assist.   With the small lead the boys started to feel the tables turn with some strong pressure from the BCH team throughout the second.  The Ice Dogs would eventually even up the score late in the second period.  After a back and forth scoreless third the teams would prepare for sudden death overtime.  Needing a win to continue their WOAA playoff run, th fans were treated to an entertaining overtime.  Brennen Vanderkuylen stood tall making some key saves including a key breakaway save in the overtime frame while at the other end Jake Crowley nearly ended it with a point shot off the goalpost.  As time ticked down, the Meteors would pull their goalie and put on heavy pressure BCH net.  With 43 seconds left on the clock, Kyle Mills would convert on another goalmouth scramble to score the overtime winner assisted by Caleb Templeman.  The boys will now face the Listowel Cyclones in a one game playoff to determine who will advance to play in the WOAA finals.
