Tough Loss In Wingham
The Thompsons AE Meteors travelled to Wingham on Thursday night and played another strong game with hard skating and good defensive play. The Wingham Ironmen would defeat the Meteors in a nail biting game with a score of just 1-0. Goalie Brennen VanderKuylen played a strong game making several key saves to keep his team in the game.
Offensively the Meteors made hard drives to the net, but could not beat the Winghamgoalie. There were close calls that had the fans on the edge of their seats as CalebTempleman hit a post and after another great shot the puck would bounce over theWingham goalie's head only to roll along the goal line and out of the net. With one minute left of the game the Meteor's goalie was pulled in a last effort to make it on the scoreboard, but Wingham held their ground and pulled out the win.
The Meteors will play in the St. Mary's AE Tournament this weekend beginning with an early game against BCH on Friday.
