Meteors Down Zurich Thunder 5-1
The Thompsons Atom AE Meteors played a strong game with a short bench in Zurich on Wednesday night. Although Zurich would make the scoreboard first with a rebound goal and take an early 1-0 lead, Mitchell would take control of the game just moments later and not look back.
Mitchell was able to dominate the play for most of the game and goalie Brennen Vanderkylen stepped up for some great saves when the Thunder did manage to get deep into the Meteor's end. Ethan Meinen had a strong game offensively with two goals and an assist. Both Kyle Mills and James McCarthy would notch a goal and an assist each and Lucas Roobroeck would get two assists on the night. Jaxen Hartwig found the net for a goal and Caleb Templeman would also gain a point with a single assist.
The Thompsons Atom AE's will take to the road again on Saturday when they will face the Listowel Cyclones in their next match up.
