Atom AE's Shutout Stratford 5-0
With Brennen Vanderkuylen between the pipes and a strong defensive effort from the entire team, the Mitchell Thompsons Atom AE Meteors shutout the Stratford Warriors by a score of 5-0 in exhibition play Monday night in Mitchell.

The teams played to a scoreless draw in the first period before James McCarthy opened the scoring two minutes into the second period. Lucas Roobroeck would then dent the twine with only two seconds remaining in the period thanks to a goalmouth scramble.

The Meteors would not look back going into the third period as Brayden Glauser would put one in the top shelf on a breakaway then Roobroeck would get his second goal followed by Noah Mann rounding out the scoring with under a minute remaining in the game.

Assists in the match would go to Jaxen Hartwig, Glauser, McCarthy, Mann and Roobroeck. Defencemen Jake Crowley, Logan Ruby, Blake Redfern, and Evan O'Rourke stood tall throughout the game as they kept the Warriors and the puck away from in front of Vanderkuylen.
