Meteors play St. Mary's Jets
In exhibition play, the Mitchell Meteors Atom LL MCR Advanced Collision team played the St. Mary's Jets on Saturday, February 28. It was a quiet first period but not without many chances to score for both teams.
It wasn't until half way through the second period that Basil Voros was able to give Mitchell their first goal, thanks to a pass from Logan Ruby. With three minutes left, Jason Mills had an unassisted goal which was flipped over the goalie's shoulders and hit the cross bar. In the third period, Voros made a perfect center pass from the corner to Mills who, once again, flipped the puck into the net. Mills earned a hat trick with his third goal while Keegan Hunt scored the final goal, assisted by Andreas Harmer and Jack Steinbach making the final score 5-0 for the Meteors.
