Atom LL finish regular season in 4th place
The Atom LL MCR Advanced Collision team finished the regular season in 4th places after falling to the Zurich Thunder 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.

It was very close game that saw a lot of back and forth action between both teams.  In the first period, Basil Voros passed the puck to Jason Mills who dumped it into the offensive end from the centre line.  The puck bounced off the goalie's skates and into the net for Mitchell's first goal.  With 6 minutes left, Zurich had a power play, yet Mitchell was able to hold strong. The Meteors increased the lead to 2-0 when Mills flipped the puck over the goalie, just seconds after a faceoff. Mitchell received a penalty with 2 minutes left, giving the Thunder a one man advantage, which helped them score, making it 2-1. Voros had a great shot on the net with 1 second left but was unable to get it passed the goalie. Zurich scored again on a power play in the third period, while Mitchell had 5 exciting shots on net within 30 seconds but Zurich's goalie stayed strong. Zurich finally took the lead when they scored with 1 minute left in the game.

On Sunday afternoon, the Mitchell Meteors faced the Mildmay Monarchs in an exhibition game. Austin Weir scored the only goal for Mitchell, assisted by Jason Mills. Logan Nugent had a beautiful yet unsuccessful shot on net with 8 seconds left in the second period. Weir and Voros also had great opportunities but the final score was 4-1 for Mildmay.
