Tough Weekend for Atom LL
The MCR Advanced Collision Atom LL Mitchell Meteors faced 2 tough teams for a double loss this weekend.
Their first game Friday night against the Lambton Shores Predators was a devastating loss. The Predators scored first, however, the Meteors quickly came back with Basil Voros setting up Jason Mills for Mitchell's first goal. Lambton Shores took control of the rest of the game, scoring 7 more goals. Mills was able to score one more goal for Mitchell, assisted by Logan Ruby and Kyle Mills bringing the final score 8-2 for Lambton.
Their hard fought battle on Saturday was against the first place Blyth-Brussels Crusaders Burgundy team. The fast paced, back and forth game remained scoreless until the Crusaders scored at the beginning of the second period, only to have the team score 2 more goals. The game saw a good hustle by the Meteors with great saves by Brennen Vanderkuylen. Unfortunately, Mitchell was not able to get the puck passed the goalie and fell 0-3.
