One Win and One Loss for Atom LL
The MCR Advanced Collision Mitchell Meteors Atom LL had a busy day on Saturday, December 20 with one win and one loss.

In the morning, the Meteors came away with a 1-0 win against the Blyth-Brussels Crusaders. There were a number of good saves from both teams to keep a scoreless game by the end of the first period.  With 2 minutes left in the second period, Austin Weir backhanded a pass to Sam Hueltin to score the only goal of the game.

In the afternoon, the Meteors faced the Lambton Shores Predators for a tough and disappointing loss.  Within the first minute of the game, Jason Mills received a pass from Jack Steinbach, sliding the puck past the goalie. The Predators scored shortly after but Mitchell quickly regained the lead by Logan Nugent centering the puck directly in front of the net allowing Steinbach to score, making it 2-1. Lambton Shores came back by scoring two more goals to end the first period.

With 30 seconds left in the second period, Jason Mills scored after being set up by Kyle Mills and Evan O'Rourke to tie it up.  The third period saw many chances for Mitchell to score. Basil Voros finally took control of the puck, beat 3 Predators to the net and scored. Lots of action kept Vanderkuylen busy but unfortunately, the Predators scored 2 goals in the last 3 minutes of the game, bringing the final score to 5-4.
