Atom LL Consolation Champs
The MCR Advanced Collision Atom LL won the Consolation Finals at the Lambton Shores LL tournament on Saturday.

Their first game, against Lambton Shores Black, saw Mitchell ahead 2-0 by the end of the first period. Jason Mills scored, assisted by Austin Weir and Evan O'Rourke, followed by Basil Voros, assisted by Logan Nugent. Unfortunately, Mitchell was unable to hold onto the lead, with Lambton scoring 2 goals, ending in a 2-2 tie.

The second game was a heart breaking 10-2 loss against the very strong North Middlesex Jr. Stars. Voros got Mitchell on the score board with an unassisted goal in the second period, then again the third period after receiving a nice pass from Austin Weir.

The Mitchell Meteors played the St. George Generals in a very exciting third and final game. Jason Mills started the scoring with a pass from Owen McKenzie. The Generals tied it up in the second period and both teams remained strong right up to the end of the third period. This led to a nail biter of a 4-on-4 overtime period where neither team was able to get the puck in the net. The shoot out started with a goal by the Generals, followed by a goal for Mitchell by Logan Ruby. After the Generals missed their next four shots and the Meteors missing their next three, Evan O'Rourke was able to get the puck past the goalie ending in a 3-2 win for Mitchell earning them the Consolation Final.
