U15 Reps Win, Force Tiebreaker Game in WOAA Playoffs
Facing elimination on Mar 6th in Southampton vs the host injury-riddled Saugeen Shores Storm, the Mitchell Scotiabank U15 Meteor Reps delivered a strong effort to knock out the Storm by a score of 2-0 and force a one-game tiebreaker with the BCH Ice Dogs to determine who will advance to the WOAA Final vs Kincardine.
Backed by goaltender Porter Smith's shutout effort, the opponents played scoreless hockey for one period before Bryce Otten would score the first of his pair of goals on the powerplay, ripping an unassisted laser of a shot just inside the blue line that beat the Storm goaltender cleanly.
Ryan Glauser would assist on Otten's second goal of the night in the third period as insurance.
The elimination game vs BCH will be played Thurs Mar 10th at 6:30pm in Clinton.
