U15 Reps Drop Home Game To Walkerton
The Scotiabank U15 Meteor Reps hosted Walkerton on November 15th, dropping a 5-2 decision to the visiting Capitals in local WOAA league action.
The Meteors got off to a slow start, quickly down 2-0 in the opening two minutes of the hockey game, followed by a third goal against midway through the second. Not going away quietly, Kellen Russwurm got the locals on the board moments later, assisted by Hayden Nicholson and Jack Miller. Bryce Otten would then score five minutes later from Braden Hoegy to cut the Walkerton lead to just one.
But that was all the Meteors could muster, as the visitors added an insurance goal early in the final period, followed by an empty net goal with 18 seconds remaining to seal the victory.
