U15 Reps Hold Off Blizzard For Road Win
The Scotiabank U15 Meteor Reps travelled to Ripley on Nov 12th to face the Huron-Bruce Blizzard, avenging an earlier loss at home this season with a 3-2 road win.
After a scoreless first period, the Blizzard opened the scoring midway through the second frame, adding a powerplay goal less than a minute later to take a quick 2-0 lead. Charlie Geiger would tip in Kellen Russwurm's point shot less than a minute later, also assisted by Hayden Nicholson, to narrow the deficit to one goal.
Down 2-1 to start the third, Jack Miller would tie the game midway through the period, from Geiger and Zack Siemon-Hergott. Seconds later, a Bryce Otten centring pass from behind the net would bank in off a defenseman's leg for the game-winning goal, credited to Bryce Dixon.
Porter Smith would earn the win between the pipes for the Meteors.
