15U Reps Tie Hanover
Following tourney play in Wellesley-St Clements this past weekend, the Scotiabank 15U Meteor Reps went right back on the ice on Nov 8th, skating to a 3-3 tie at home with the Hanover Falcons.
After a scoreless first period, Hanover opened the scoring early in the second on the powerplay, knocking in a goalmouth scramble in front of goalie Joel Meinen. Hayden Nicholson would tie it moments later with a laser slapshot from the point, and Mitchell would take the lead shortly after on a goal by Braden Hoegy assisted by Zack Siemon-Hergott.
Hanover would come back and tie the game midway through the third, but the Meteors would regain the lead again courtesy of the hot hand of Bryce Otten with a missile shot set up by defensemen Nicholson and Kellen Russwurm. With Mitchell serving a tripping penalty in the last couple of minutes of the game, Hanover would tie it up on a pass attempt that would bank in off of Meinen's skate to end the game in the 3-3 tie.
