Mitchell Legion Peewee LL team down Central Perth in Exhibition play
In a good tune up before this weekends tournament.  Mitchell heads into the weekend on a high note.

The first period was a spirited affair with both teams having great opportunities to find the scoresheet.  It was Colby Ryan showing off his filthy mitts by dangling his way through the Central Perth defence to put Mitchell up 1-0.  Joel Meinen faced a lot of rubber from the Central Perth sticks and had the hot trapper going to keep the locals up 1-0 at the end of the first.

The second period, the offensive gates opened up for the Mitchell Legion Peewees as they were able to score three goal in the frame.  Wade Campbell put in a rebound from a shot from Zack Biylea assisted from Jeromy Vandewalle to put the squad up 2-0.  Bradley Dearing added to the scoring by putting in a rebound from a Ryan shot from the point to put Mitchell up 3-0.  Jaxon Hartwig ripped one in from the point to put the game 4-0.  Assists went to Liam Brodhagen and Ryan Hubbard.  At the end of the second it was 4-0 for Mitchell.

In the third it was more of the same fast paced action that the first two periods offered.  Meinen’s shutout bid was dashed with seven seconds left as Central Perth was able to sneak one through on the powerplay.  Mitchell won the game 4-1 and looks ready for this weekend’s 63rd annual Mitchell Peewee tournament.

The Mitchell Legion Peewee LL team first game of the tournament is on Friday at 5:20pm vs New Hamburg in Monkton.
