Meteors Sweep Storm on Way to OMHA Quarters
The New Orleans Pizza PeeWee AE Meteors hosted the Saugeen Shores Storm on Sunday evening in Mitchell for game three of their second round of OMHA Playdowns. The home side would shutout the visitors 2-0 to sweep the series six points to zero.

The first period would see one goal scored and it would come off the stick of Brock Boville as he would capitalize from the side of the crease to give the Meteors a lead they would not relinquish. Assists on the goal would go to Grayson Yost and Preston Porter.

Mitchell would double the lead in the second period as Lucas Mahon would win a battle along the boards at the hashmarks, skate towards the Storm goalie and see a wide open Yost in the slot. The perfect pass and shot from Yost would find the back of the net past the goalie's blocker. The second assist would go to Jack Van Loon.

Meteors goalie Joel Meinen would lock it down in the third to preserve the shutout and the series win. The PeeWee AE's now advance to the OMHA Quarter Finals against the Collingwood Blackhawks.
