PeeWee AE Meteors End Week With A Win
The New Orleans Pizza PeeWee AE Meteors have had a busy week of WOAA playoff hockey. After a tough O/T loss in Listowel on Monday night, the Meteors travelled to Southampton on Thursday evening and then were host to Huron-Bruce at home on Friday night.

In Southampton on Thursday evening, the Saugeen Shores Storm would take the lead with a goal at the mid-point of the first period. The Meteors would answer with a goal of their own in the middle frame after a nice pass in front of the goalie from Brock Boville to Ethan Meinen who lifted the puck for a top shelf goal. Despite a good effort and several chances, this would be the lone goal for the Meteors who would take a 2-1 loss after the Storm would manage a goal in the third period.

At home on Friday night, the Meteors would bring steady pressure against Huron-Bruce Blizzard leading to a 3-1 win to cap off the week. The Meteors would score the first goal in the second period on a rebound shot by Grayson Yost with Jack Miller and Charlie Geiger getting the assists. In the third period Hayden Nicholson would make it 2-0 after picking up the puck at Mitchell's blue line and driving forward to the net with a high, hard shot that the goalie could not handle. The Blizzard would respond with a goal of their own just one minute later. The Meteors would gain an insurance goal on a bullet fired by Jack Miller assisted by Geiger and Lucas Mahon.

The Meteors will play their final game of the preliminary round on Sunday evening in Monkton as they host Saugeen Shores.
