Win and Two Losses at Aylmer Tourney
The New Orleans Pizza PeeWee AE's played three games in the Aylmer AE Tournament this weekend. The team started the tournament with a 1-0 loss against Saugeen Shores on Friday afternoon, followed by a second loss to St. Thomas with a 3-1 score on Saturday morning. The Meteors would manage to pull out a 3-1 win against Ingersol in their third game, but this would not be enough to move on to Sunday action.

Meteors' Noah Mann would net the only goal for Mitchell in the St. Thomas game after hard work in the offensive end with several good shots on net. Mann would knock in a rebound shot with assists going to Preston Porter and Bryce Otten. Later in the day, the Meteors would face Ingersol and would come out of the gates very strong, pounding the Ingersol goalie with shots. Again, the Meteors would be rewarded with a rebound goal scored by Mann, with assists going to Blake Redfern and Carter O'Brien.

Heading to the second period, Ingersol would get a quick shot away in the first few seconds to net their only goal of the game. The Meteors would manage two more goals in the second period as Grayson Yost would fire a bullet past the goalie's glove, with the assist going to Brock Boville. The Meteors would get some insurance with a third goal as Preston Porter would tap in a nice pass across the blue ice of the crease, from Yost on the opposite side of the net making the final score 3-1 for the Meteors.

The Meteors will have the day off on Sunday before starting a busy week of hockey with playoff games against Listowel, Saugeen Shores and Huron-Bruce.
