Miller Hat Trick Leads Meteors
The New Orleans Pizza PeeWee AE Meteors hosted the BCH Ice Dogs in a fast and entertaining game on Friday evening. Jack Miller would come away with a 4 point night leading his team with three goals and an assist in the 6-2 Meteors victory.

Ethan Meinen would open the scoring for the Meteors at the mid-point of the first with a quick shot that went off the post and into the net. Noah Mann and Jacob Deitrich would each get assists on the goal. Before the end of the period, BCH would manage to tie the game at one.

The second period would see an offensive explosion by the Meteors as they would put four goals on the board. Miller would score the first of three consecutive goals after an end to end rush beating the lone Ice Dog defender with a nice dangle and then snap the shot past the goalie. Three minutes later, he would strike again forcing the puck into the net on another rush. Miller's hat trick would come after going into the offensive end alone and beating the goalie on the blocker side. Charlie Geiger, Ethan Meinen, and Blake Redfern would all get assists on Miller's goals. The Meteors would keep up the pressure on BCH and would be rewarded with another goal scored by Noah Mann before the end of the period with Meinen getting his third point of the night on the assist.

In the third period, BCH would amp up their play, putting pressure on the Meteor's goalie early in the period resulting in their second and final goal early in the period. The Meteors would answer again in the final minutes of the game with a 5-hole goal by Carter O'Brien, who beat the BCH goalie on his attempted poke check. Miller and Hayden Nicholson would get the assists.

The Meteors next face Arthur on Monkton ice on Sunday afternoon.
