PeeWee AE Meteors Tie Ice Dogs
Submitted By Jeanette Redfern on Monday, December 03, 2018
The New Orleans Pizza PeeWee AE Meteors travelled to Clinton on Monday evening to play the BCH Ice Dogs. The evenly matched teams would both battle hard for puck control with good chances at both ends of the ice, but would end up with a scoreless first period.

The teams would continue their end to end play with no result, until BCH would get on the board first with five minutes left to play in the second. It wouldn't take long for the Meteors to answer back, as two minutes later, Jack Miller would get a hold of the puck in the Meteor's zone and make a run to the net firing a beauty shot to beat the goalie on his blocker side. The Meteors would keep battling and make the score 2-1 early in the third period as Noah Mann would make a quick move to the net shooting just after a face off to put the Meteors in the lead.

With just under 3 minutes left in the game, the Ice Dogs would manage to tie the game after a scramble in front of the Meteors net. The Meteors would get several good chances in the final seconds, but would be unable to score. Goalie Joel Meinen would stand tall in net keeping his team in the game and holding on for the tie.
