Meteors Shut Out Ice Dogs
The Pee Wee LL Legion Branch 128 Meteors hosted the BCH Ice Dogs on Saturday evening and would come away with a big 6-0 shut out win after a dominant and high scoring third period. For both the first and second periods of the game, the teams played even hockey with action at both ends of the ice, but with no goals scored.

In the final 10 minutes of the game the Meteors would rally and take control of the game holding the play in BCH's end and scoring a whopping six goals in the period. Brandon Dietrich would be the first to score with a hard shot to the top corner after a great pass in front from Nolan Vessie. Just 20 seconds later the Meteors would strike again as Zach Huygen would find a loose puck in front of the net and knock it in with the assist going to Jake Crowley. The third goal for the home team would come from the stick of Grayson Yost as he would gain control of the puck on the blue line and find and open corner of the net. The Meteors would keep relentless pressure on BCH with three more goals in the final four minutes of the game with Jaxen Hartwig, Caleb Kay and Jack Steinback all beating the BCH goalie. Logan Nugent, Blake Redfern, Yost, Dietrich and Crowley would gain assists. In all, ten different Meteors would get points in the very balanced attack on BCH in the third period of play.

Goalie Ethan Dearing would play a strong game earning his first shut out in league play this year. The Meteors defensive squad of Crowley, Redfern, Yost and Liam Brodhagen would be solid on the blue line the entire game and do a good job of clearing the puck from their own end.
