PeeWee LL's Down BCH in WOAA Playoff Action
The Legion Br. 128 PeeWee LL Meteors hosted the BCH Ice Dogs Saturday night in playoff action in Monkton and would come away with a hard fought 4-3 victory.

The visitors would tally the only goal of the first period but that would not dampen the spirits of the home side.

Within the first minute of the second period the Meteors would bust out of their own end with a 2-0 breakaway and Preston Porter would make the selfless pass to Jeremy Vandewalle and Vandewalle would make no mistake to tie the score at 1-1. Four minutes later Porter would break down the right wing and beat the Ice Dog goalie with a low hard wrist shot to the blocker side to give the Meteors the lead. Nolan Vessie would get the lone assist. However, BCH would fight back with two goals of their own before the end of the middle frame to take a 3-2 lead heading into the last period.

Early in the third period, Sam Huettlin would cash in on a goal mouth scramble to even the score at 3-3 with helpers going to Porter and Grayson Yost. The winning goal would then be awarded to Yost as he pounced on a fortunate bounce on a dump in from Jack Steinbach. Meteors goalie Ethan Dearing would hold the fort in the last few minutes to give Mitchell the 4-3 win.

The victory leaves the Meteors with a 3-3 record in double round-robin WOAA playoff action. The team will try and improve their record as they travel to Drayton Sunday afternoon.
