Tough OT Loss For Pee Wee LL
The Mitchell Legion Branch 128 Pee Wee LL Meteors faced the Central Perth Predators in Monkton on Thursday evening. The evenly matched teams skated both the first and second periods with close calls, but with no scoring in either frame.

The Meteors would get on the board first, just two minutes into the third period on a deflection through the legs of the Predator's goalie, off the stick of Caleb Kay. Liam Brodhagen would get the assist. The lead would not last long as Central Perth would drive hard down the ice to the Meteors end with lots of pressure on net to score and tie the game at one. Central Perth would take the lead with another goal at the six minute mark. Not giving up, the Meteors would keep pushing to the net. Kay would move the puck up ice to Sam Heuttlin along the boards who would make a perfect pass to Preston Porter in the slot who would take the shot between the legs of the falling goalie to tie the game at two. Both teams would buckle down in the remaining minutes forcing an overtime period.

After a good chance in the Predators end in OT, the Meteors would suffer the loss just 39 seconds into the period as a racing Predator would push the puck into the net for the win. The Meteors will continue their playoff schedule this coming Sunday with a game in Mount Forest.
