Meteors Lose Close One To Cyclones
The Mitchell Legion Branch 128 Pee Wee LL Meteors hosted the Listowel Cyclones on Thursday evening. The teams played an evenly matched game and would end with just a one goal difference in favour of the Cyclones.

The Cyclones would score three minutes into the game and this would be the only goal until the middle of the third period when they would strike again to go up 2-0. The hard-working Meteors would keep at the Cyclones firing several shots to keep pressure on the visiting defence. With just under 5 minutes remaining, the Meteors hard work would pay off as Caleb Kay would time a shot to the top of the net perfectly as the Listowel goalie went down. Nolan Vessie and Sam Huettlin would assist on the goal. The Meteors would then pull their goalie for the final 4 minutes and control the puck with the man advantage as the time ticked down. Despite several good chances, the Meteors would not be able to score and the Cyclones would take the game with a score of 2-1.
