Meteors Fall To Crusaders
On Wednesday evening the Legion Branch 128 Pee Wee LL Meteors travelled to Blyth for their second road game of the week. The first period would see balanced play by both teams with the first goal of the game coming by the Crusaders in the final thirty seconds of the period. The second period would see three more goals by the Crusaders before the Meteors would answer back in the third period.
At the mid-point of the third, Meteor's Preston Porter would get an unassisted goal with a hard shot from the slot that would beat the goalie over his shoulder and hit top shelf into the net. Just 37 seconds later Blake Redfern would also find himself front and centre of the Crusaders goalie and would fire a rebound shot to score, and cut the Crusaders lead in half. Caleb Kay would assist on the goal. Despite putting pressure on the Crusaders in the final minutes of the game, the Meteors would not be able to overcome the lead and would fall with a score of 4-2 on the night.
