Pee Wee LL's Tie Mount Forest
The Mitchell Legion Branch 128 Pee Wee LL Meteors travelled to Clifford on Monday night to face the Mount Forest Rams. Their game would end in a 4-4 tie with the Meteors scoring all of their goals in a strongly played second period.

The Rams would be the first to make the scoreboard after a bouncing puck would sneak in the Mitchell net. The Meteors however, would come back for a strong second period with Sam Huettlin scoring the first goal on a difficult angle shot that would beat the Ram's goalie. The Meteors would keep the pressure up in front of the net with Caleb Kay getting a rebound shot with assists going to Logan Nugent and Preston Porter. Mount Forest would then come back for a goal bringing the score to a tie at two. A scramble in front of the net with Jeremy Vandewalle poking in the loose puck would put the Meteors in the lead with assists going to Kay and Jaxen Hartwig. To round out the Mitchell scoring, Blake Redfern would pass the puck up ice to Caleb Kay who's hard shot would bounce off the goalie's shoulder and into the net.

The Meteors would have some trouble clearing the puck from their own end in the third period leading to two more goals by Mount Forest which would leave the game in a 4-4 tie. Hard play by both teams in the final minutes would be unrewarded as goalies at both ends of the ice would shut down their opponent.

The Meteors will hit the road again on Wednesday evening as they head to Blyth to face the Blyth-Brussels Crusaders.
