Porter's Hat Trick Leads Meteors to Victory
Preston Porter would complete his hat trick into an empty net to cap a strong 4-2 victory for the visiting Mitchell Br. 128 LL Meteors Thursday night. The comeback victory would take place in Monkton against the home town Central Perth Predators.

Mitchell would have a couple solid scoring chances early in the game turned away by the Predators goalie. The majority of the remaining play in the first period would be played in the Meteors end and Central Perth would take a 2-0 lead into the second period.

The middle frame would see the Meteors find their skating legs and dominate the play for almost all of the second period. Their hard work would finally pay off five minutes into the period as Porter would get his first with assists coming from Blake Redfern and Jake Crowley. Just two minutes later Sam Huettlin would even the score at two as he would make no mistake from the slot with Zach Huygen earning the helper.

With the score tied heading into the final period, Mitchell goalie Ethan Dearing would shut down the Predators and Porter would notch his second of the game to put the visitors ahead for good on a nice corner pass from Caleb Kay. Logan Nugent would contribute with two third period assists.

The next game for the Meteors will be at home Sunday against the Minto Mad Dogs.
