Winning Weekend For Pee Wee LL's
The Legion Branch 128 Pee Wee LL's played two home games this weekend against Howick on Saturday and Drayton on Sunday and came up with two big wins. On Saturday evening in Monkton, the Meteors' sticks were on fire as 6 different players would score in a 9-4 victory over the Howick Hornets. Howick would open the scoring early in the game, but the Meteors would answer back as Caleb Kay would place a hard shot over the shoulder ofthe Howick goalie to get Mitchell on the board.

The second period would see 5 more goals for the blazing hot Meteors. Kay would strike again from the slot as he received a perfect pass from Blake Redfern on the point. The Meteors would keep the pressure on and just a
minute later would strike again as Jeremy Vandewalle would net an unassisted goal. Jake Crowley would do a good job fighting hard along the boards to keep the puck in Howick's end which would lead to the next goal for the
Meteors as Grayson Yost would beat the Howick netminder. The line of Yost, Jack Steinback and Nolan Vessie and would show good teamwork in front of the net as they worked together passing it around in front of the goalie and
beating him in the scramble with the goal going to Steinbach. Just seven seconds later the Meteors would strike again as Kay would get the puck to Preston Porter for the goal bringing the score at the end of two periods to
6-2 in the Meteors favour.

The third period would see Meteors goalie Ethan Dearing play solid in net, as Howick dug in hard to get some points on the board. Vessie would be in perfect position to knock in the rebound shot from Redfern on the blue line.
Steinbach would get his second goal of the night with the assist coming from Yost to bring the score to 8-3. Vandewalle would also get his second goal of the night with assists going to Yost and Redfern to round out the scoring for the Meteors. In the final seconds of the game Howick would manage one more goal to bring the final score to 9-4.

Back in Monkton on Sunday evening, the Meteor's sticks were still hot as they would take the Drayton Defenders by a score of 4-1. Jack Steinbach would get his team on the board with an unassisted goal in the first period. Drayton would answer back in the second period to tie the game at one. The Meteors would take the lead early in the third as Steinbach would get his second of the night sneaking one past the goalie on a wrap around shot. Jaxen Hartwig would net the Meteors third goal of the night with the hard shot that the Drayton goalie got a piece of, but could not contain. Adding some extra insurance for the win, Caleb Kay would beat the goalie with just 27 seconds left on the clock with the assists going to Grayson Yost and Brandon Dietrich.
