The Scotia Bank Mitchell Meteors Bantam LL team won both their games this week to make it three in a row.

The Meteors hosted the Lambton Shores Predators Thursday night.  The Predators opened the scoring just past the six minute mark.  The lead didn’t last long though as Joey Adam scored less than a minute later on a nice set up from PJ Marshall. 

The game would remain 1-1 until early in the second period when Adam scored his second of the game on a set up from Kurtis DeJong and Marshall.  The lead didn’t last long as Lambton Shores scored less than 3 minutes later and added a third goal late in the period to take a 3-2 lead into the third.

The Meteors came our flying in the third and kept the pressure on Lambton Shores.  The Predators goalie made a number big saves but Mitchell finally broke through with two and half minutes lest when Adam completed the hat trick with assists going to Dominic Voros and Brett Poirier.  The Meteors weren’t done as just over thirty seconds later they completed the comeback with PJ Marshall knocking in a rebound from Basil Voros and Dominic Voros. 

Wade Monden and Austin Weir combined to earn the win.

The Scotia Bank Mitchell Meteors Bantam LL team shut-out the Minto Mad Dogs Saturday night in  Monkton.   The Meteors dominated from start to finish. 

Coulter Rolph opened the scoring for Mitchell with about 5 minutes left in the first period.  The defenceman took a pass from Will Steinbach in his own end and made a nice rush the length of the ice before finishing it off with a nice goal.

Damon Roebreck made in 2-0 late in the second on another nice end to end rush from his defence position.  Basil Voros earned the assist on the goal.

PJ Marshall put the game out of reach with a minute and half left in the third period on a nice feed from Brett Poirier and Rolph.

Wade Monden earned his second shut-out of the year.
