Novice Girls HL Finish Up Round Robin Playoffs
The Mitchell Dodge Grand Caravan Meteors Novice Girls HL team wrapped up their round robin playoffs with a 3-0 win over the host St Thomas Panthers HL team on March 5th.
The teams skated to a scoreless first period before Abigayle Van Bakel scored the first of her two goals late in the second period, assisted by Alayna McKay and Grace Bach. Maren Marshall made a textbook end-to-end rush for an unassisted goal midway through the third period. Van Bakel rounded out the scoring late in the third, set up by Haileigh Templeman and Kayla Visneskie. Selina Gethke posted the shutout in goal for the Meteors.
