The YNCU atoms powered through their semi final game in the Simcoe tourney but fell short in the final wearing themselves down during some shorthanded play. The reps again came up short in the lone league game of the week as they gave up a dieing seconds goal while on a power play against Goderich. The boys look to shake things off as they start their Silver quest this week in the Wingham Regional Silver Stick tournament.

The semi final game in Simcoe would see Lucas Roobroeck open up for Mitchell assisted by Vincent Voros who would pick up the remaining 4 markers in the 5-0 win against Lucan to earn their spot in the final. Roobroeck would assist Voros on one while Caleb Templeman, Kyle Mills, and Josh French would help on the others.

The final would post Mitchell against their opening game rivals Lambeth. Mitchell would score first but the Lancers would tie before leaving the first. Mitchell would begin to find themselves in some penalty troubles and in turn would start to wear down dispite a hard fought effort to try to keep up. As a result the boys would lose the final as Lambeth put the final goal in the Meteors empty net and take it 7-3.

The boys would have only one league game this week as they traveled to Goderich Saturday. They would again strike first as Brock Boville would score very early in the first while James McCarthy and Voros would assist.  "AP" Jack Miller would net the second of the period again from Voros. Goderich would score a pair of their own in the first but Mills would take back the lead near the end of the frame on a sweet pass from Templeman. Unfortunately it was the last time the boys would see the lead as Goderich would tie again in the 2nd and despite being on the power play to end the third would end up giving up a goal to the Sailors with just 16 seconds remaining. The boys pushed hard with the sixth skater for the last seconds but couldn't get the tieing mark in time.

The Reps will meet BCH in their opening SS game Monday night.
