Your Neighborhood Credit Union Atom Rep win OMHA series against Goderich but struggling as they start WOAA and OMHA round 2
The YNCU rep boys were able to move past their first round OMHA competition as they defeated Goderich and took the series in three straight games. The Meteors dominated early and never looked back. Vincent Voros and Josh French both scored in the first while Rhett Terpstra, Jarrett VanBakel and Daniel Ogilvie assisted. The second brought two more goals, this time from Lucas Roobroeck unassisted and a second from Voros, again assisted by Terpstra. In the third Voros rounded out his hat trick as he broke for an unassisted goal and the final for the boys as they took the game in a 5-3 final. Great series boys and good hard work by all!
Things unfortunately have not been so rosy since as the YNCU Meteors opened their WOAA round robin series with a 7-0 loss to Kincardine and have dropped the first two games of the OMHA second round series to Hanover, 5-3 and 8-2 respectively. The boys will face Hanover again tonight(Monday) as they try to right the ship and prevent a sweep by the Falcons. Good luck tonight boys!!
