The Dodge Caravan Kids are fighting hard for the top spot in the Novice Central South Playoffs. Since loosing their game to the Wingham Ironmen on February 18th the Meteors have been digging deep to get back on top of the leaderboard.

On Thursday, February 23rd the Meteors headed to Clinton to face the BCH Icedogs in their first 'complete' game against each other since the fabled dark and stormy game that ended early in Moncton a few weeks prior.  Periods one and two were going well for the Caravan Kids however, the Icedogs brought on a furry in the third period to tie the game at 2-2.  Even with a 10-minute overtime period, neither team could top the other so they settled for a tie.  Owen B and Landon V. were the goal-scorers for that game.
With a determined spirit, the Meteors headed off to Wingham on Sunday to prove to the Wingham Ironmen that they were in the playoffs to win.  The word on the street was that Zach S was so pumped before the game that he had to be held back from vaulting over the boards and onto the ice to get the game started.  Sure enough, it didn't take long before Zack snapped an awesome wrist shot into the upper left corner of the Ironmen's net.  Carson B. followed suit with another goal to end the second period at 2-0.
The third period proved to be more challenging for the Meteors as the Ironmen stepped up their offensive action resulting in two goals.  However, to the relief of the Meteor fans, Owen B. quickly took a pass by Austin J. from behind the net to solidify their lead and finish the game at 3-2.
Each Caravan Kid played very well during this challenging game however, several fans couldn't help but notice the exceptional play by Lucas B. who found his groove and can be credited for stopping several offensive charges by the Ironmen.  Way to go!
The Meteors take on the Goderich Sailors on Wednesday in Goderich at 6:00.  Bring as many fans as you can to help the Caravan Kids carry their momentum forward to continue their climb to the top of the leaderboard.
