Caravan Kids are the WOAA Novice Central South Champs!
It was an exciting championship game with a roaring crowd at the Mitchell arena today as the Dodge Caravan Kids skated their way to victory with a score of 3-1 against the Hanover Falcons.  Even the players' siblings came out to cheer wearing their Meteor Jerseys and shaking their noise-makers.  Not to mention the numerous relatives and friends who came out to support this dynamic group of Novice hockey players.....Thanks everyone!

The Hanover Falcons are to be commended for their excellent play during this tight, best of three series.  They have an excellent team with players who skate like the wind and never give up.
Much could be said about the Caravan Kids who demonstrated sportsmanship, team play and hard work as they usually do.  However this is the time to express many thanks to the dedicated and caring people who have made this season successful.
First of all, a huge thank you goes out to all of the coaches and training staff.  Pete Kaufman's compassion and leadership, Randy Van Bakel's encouraging words and expertise, Elliott Faust's experience and insight, and Beau Bree's dependable support and care.  Without your hard work these kids would not have had such a valuable and worthwhile experience.  Also, a big thanks goes to Jason Richardson and Jason Uniac for stepping up as Trainer when needed.
Thanks to Jenn Siemon for her management of the team and thanks to Julie and Brad Beuermann for being the parent reps.  Your time is much appreciated.
A special thank you goes to Ben H. who showed up for every practice and was an essential part of the team whenever called upon.....Way to go Ben!

Finally, much appreciation goes to Perth County Chrysler for their financial support this year.  It is great to know that community members take a keen interest in the youth of this town.
