Meteors Force a Third and Final Game
The Caravan Kids headed off to Hanover today for a do-or-die game in the WOAA Novice Central South Finals against the Hanover Falcons.  The Meteors had a slow start taking two minutes to finally get the puck into the Falcon's end but from that moment on, the Meteors kept control of the puck for the majority of the game.

After several scoring chances and shots on net during period one and two, the meteors were finding it tough to get the puck past the Falcon's goalie.  Entering into the third period with a 0-0 score, everyone was on the edge of their seat.  However, relief came after fifty seconds of play when Jake R. fired the puck through the goalies legs and into the back of the net.  This was just the beginning!  The Meteors were now set on fire with a renewed sense of confidence allowing Jake R., Carson B. and Landon V. to rack up the score to 4 while leaving the Falcons with 0.
This fine young team is quite impressive.  They work well together and each player knows their position well.  Nate U. continues to outskate and stop advancements into the Meteor zone. Colby F. fires cannons from the blueline. Lucas B. is like a gatekeeper stopping pucks left and right. Isaak S. outsmarts and outmaneuvers any oncoming adversaries.  Jake R. winds up and rips bullet-like wrist shots. Charlie W. steals pucks from every opponent within reach.  Carson B. can weave his way around anyone while keeping control of the puck.  Zack S. covers more ice than anyone while sacrificing his body to block shots.  Rogan C. capitalizes on loose pucks to enjoy several breakaway opportunities.  Jackson K. unleashes his strength while defending our net and creating quality scoring moments.  Austin J. has a keen sense to know when, were and how to pass the puck to open teammates.  Looking like a text-book powerful hockey player, Landon V. takes wicked shots from sharp angles to find the hidden openings leading to the back of the net.  Owen B. has his head in the game like no other.  Whenever he scores, he races to centre ice, ready to do it all over again.  Every great team needs a hot goalie and the Novice Meteor team is no exception.  Carter M. is alert, prepared, determined and fully capable of stopping any shot within his reach.
Win or loose, but likely win, the Caravan Kids are sure to impress tomorrow as they play their final game of the season.  Come on out to cheer them on as they take on the Hanover Falcons for the WOAA Central South final championship tomorrow (Sunday) at 12:00.
