Exhibition Game Ends in Loss
The Lockhart Pee Wee local league Mitchell Meteors traveled to Tavistock Saturday afternoon to play the Titans.

After a lengthy break over the holidays the Meteors played well despite showing a bit of rust here and there.  The Titans opened the scoring with three and half minutes left in the first period. The Meteors tied the game up early in the second on an unassisted goal by Basil Voros.  Tavistock retook the lead at the 6 minute mark of the period, but that lead did not last long as PJ Marshall scored from Braedon MacLean two minutes later.  The second period would end with the teams tied 2-2.   Once again Tavistock would take the lead just 43 seconds into the third.  The Meteors fought back and tied it up once more at the ten minute mark of the third on PJ Marshall’s second goal of the game.  Braedon MacLean got his second assist of the game on the goal and Keegan Hunt also earned an assist on it.  Tavistock was not done however and with just under two minutes left in the game the Titans took their fourth lead of the game.  Mitchell pressed hard but just couldn’t get the equalizer as Tavistock scored an empty netter with six seconds left to secure the 5-3 win.  Mitchell’s defence of Josh Bedour, Jason Mills, Dominic Voros and Damen Roobroeck played very well against a very quick talented team.
