Back to Back Wins for the PeeWee LL
The Lockhart Pee Wee local league Mitchell Meteors won both games of a big home and home series against the Goderich 2 Sailors.

The Meteors opened up at home Friday night with a 3-1.  Basil Voros opened the scoring just 2 minutes into the opening frame with the assist going to Carter Yost.  The score would stay that way until late in the second period when PJ Marshall scored an unassisted goal.  Goderich would fight back scoring with just 41 seconds left in the second to restore the 1 goal lead.  The third period was an exciting back and forth game with Charlie Wood making many excellent saves for the home team.  Mitchell was finally able to put the game away with an empty net goal by Marshall with 48 seconds left.  The Meteors had a strong defensive game from their blueliners, Josh Bedour, Jason Mills, Damon Roobroeck, and Dominic Voros.

The Lockhart Pee Wee local league Mitchell Meteors traveled to Goderich Sunday afternoon for the return game and came away with a 5-2 win.  The first period was another back and forth affair.  Mitchell opened the scoring on a goal by Braedon McLean assisted by PJ Marshall midway through the first.  Goderich answered with a quick goal less than a minute later.  Mitchell responded just as quickly restoring the one goal a minute after that on another goal by McLean from Marshall and Jason Mills.   Mitchell struck early in the 2nd to widen the lead to 2 on a goal by Basil Voros from Josh Bedour.  Goderich came on strong from that point on in the second and was able to pull back to within one on a goal with 4 minutes left in the second.  The Meteors were able to get their feet back moving to start the third and managed to pull away with an unassisted goal by Jason Mills and one by Basil Voros assisted by Marshall.  Charlie Wood played well in net to earn the win.  Will Steinbach and Jaden Faulkner also played well.
