PeeWee LL Bring Home the Gold after Weekend Tourny
The Lockhart Pee Wee local league Mitchell Meteors won their second tournament of the year bringing home the trophy from the Wainfleet Pee Wee Local League tournament on the weekend of March 4-6.

The Meteors dominated both of their round robin games beating Wasaga Beach 4-0 in their tournament opener Friday night and Norwich 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.   Braedon McLean scored twice in the opener with Jason Mills and PJ Marshall adding singles and Charlie Wood recorded the shutout.  Marshall scored twice in the second game and Basil Voros added the other goal.  Austin Weir got the shutout in net.   Jaden Faulkner also played an excellent game.

All three elimination games were played Sunday afternoon.  The Lockhart Pee Wee local league Mitchell Meteors once again played Wasaga Beach and once again dominated the game winning 7-1.  Marshall scored 2 goals, Mills scored 2 goals, Basil Voros, Damon Roobroeck and Spencer Boyce added the singles.  Will Steinbach played a great game for the Meteors and Charlie Wood earned the win.

The Meteors defeated Burford 6-2 in the semi-finals.   Carter Yost started the scoring for Mitchell with 2 goals; Marshall added a hat trick and Mills chipped in another.  Dominic Voros played a great on the blue line for the Meteors and had 3 assists.  Weir earned the win in this one.

The finals pitted Mitchell against the Midland Centennials.  It was the third game for both teams in less than 5 hours and both teams looked a little tired.  Midland scored first just over 3 minutes into the game.  Mitchell however dug deep and managed to tie the score up on a goal by Marshall from McLean and Boyce.  Keegan Hunt would score what would be the game winner just 45 seconds later on a nice set up from Marshall and Dominic Voros.  That would be all the scoring Mitchell would need as they held on through the final 2 periods to earn the victory and the trophy.  Josh Bedour played a great game for Mitchell and Wood earned the win in the championship game.
