Oct. 27 - Nov. 2 Game Report
The Thompson AEs had a successful week, going 3-0-1 over four games. They started with a 3-1 win over Wingham Oct. 29. Austin Weir had a strong game in goal and PJ Marshall had a hat trick with assists coming from Jamie Feltz, Andrew Van Bakel and Coulter Rolph.
Two days later the boys met the Goderich AEs on the big ice at Budweiser Gardens. Mitchell dominated throughout the game, coming away with a 3-1 victory. Goals were scored by Van Bakel, Marshall and Spencer Boyce. Jack Steinbach and Damon Roobroeck got the assists.
The AEs met Hanover for the first time Nov. 1 and fought to a 2-2 draw. Goals were scored by Rolph and Van Bakel while defense man Daniel Reidy and goalie Charlie Wood played strongly.
The Nov.2 match against Walkerton was an 8-1 blowout for Mitchell. Xavier Lorentz and Marshall led the way with 2 goals apiece with singles by Evan MacArthur, Roobroeck, Boyce and Feltz. Drew Partridge made a strong contribution with two assists.
