Thompson's Atom AE win League Opener
The Thompson Atom AE's opened their league season with a 4-2 comeback victory over Walkerton.
Mitchell scored first with a goal by Spencer Boyce, assisted by Xavier Lorentz, in the second period. Walkerton came back to the lead with goals in the second and early in the third. Mitchell then took late control of the game with three unanswered goals. Daniel Reidy scored the equalizer, assisted by Coulter Rolph and PJ Marshall. Drew Partridge put Mitchell up by one with an unassisted goal and then put the game out of Walkerton's reach with another goal. Reidy and Boyce assisted Partridge with the game-winning goal. Solid goaltending by Charlie Wood and Austin Weir ensured a Mitchell Victory.
