Mid Season Summary
The Sunlife - Paul Van Gerwen Atom Girls have a 1 win, 2 loss and a tie in their last few games.

The Atom Girls have been playing some good hockey their last few games.
On November 9th, the team traveled to Watford to play the East Lambton Eagles and came out on top 2-1.  Goal scorers were Arianna C. and Taya C. with Makayla B playing a strong game in net.
There next couple of games were tough 5-0 losses against the Bluewater Hawks and the Ingersoll Jets.  Ava G. played in net for both games and faced alot of hard shots and made some nice saves but our offense just couldn't get anything pass the other goalies.
The Stratford Aces came to Mitchell to play and found ourselves tied at 0 after the first period.  During the second period the girls picked up the pace and found the back of the Stratford net for 2 goals.  Emma F scored assisted by Brooklyn G and Taya C and Erica P provided the second with help from Hannah E.  The team took a 2 goal lead into the third.  In the last 7 minutes of the game Stratford was hard on the puck and scored 2 goals to tie the game at 2. Solid goaltending from Makayla B and a great effort from the girls gave the team the tie.
On a fun note, the girls traveled to Toronto this past Saturday (Nov 30) to watch the Toronto Marlies play and win 3-2 against the Rochester Americans - the AHL team of the Buffalo Sabres.  The other treat for the girls was standing on the blue line with the Rochester Americans during the singing of the National Anthems and having their team name annouced for all in attendance to hear. Everyone had a great time!
The team's next couple of games are away this weekend at Strathroy and Mooretown.  Go get them girls!
