It's all Coming Together
The novice girls played their second game of the weekend Sunday afternoon, hosting Zorra Fusion in Monkton. The girls came on strong and played together well the whole game. Scoring started off in the first with a goal unassisted by Nicole, quickly followed by a nice shot by Alyssa, also unassisted. Zorra Fusion retaliated with two goals of their own, leaving it tied up by the second period.
Both teams held their own, with defense playing strong protecting their nets, resulting in no goals scored in the period. Determined, Mitchell turned it on strong in the third with lots of breakaways and shots. Sadie M's persistence paid off as she was successful in netting two goals, one unassisted and one assisted by Jaelyn.
Hoping this is the start of a winning streak, as the girls go to Mooretown next weekend.
