Novice Girls play well in London Tournament
The Novice Girls participated in the London Girls Hockey Tournament this past weekend. The girls came on strong with a 4 to 1 win over Ancaster Friday afternoon.
Great passing and looking up for openings contributed to this overall team success. Jaylin continued to defend out net the second game early Saturday morning against Clarington. It proved to be a close game, and the girls lost 2 to 1.
After some re-grouping and rest, the team played their second game of the day against our hosts, London. This proved to be an easier game, as Mitchell easily walked away with the win 6 to 1.
The great play carried us through to play in the semi-finals early Sunday morning. It was another close game, but Mitchell was not able to score, losing to Lucan 0 to 1 in the end.
