Tough Weekend for Novice Girls, News, Novice Girls, Girls Hockey, 2013-2014 (Mitchell Minor Hockey)

The Mitchell Novice Girls had a tough weekend, losing 2 consecutive games, Saturday and Sunday.

Mitchell traveled to Lucan Saturday morning to face-off against the Lucan Irish. Luck was not on our side this time around, losing 3 to 1 in the end. The girls battled hard to control the puck and move it up the ice. Once again, our dependable defense did their job of keeping the play out of our end, sending the puck up the ice consistently. Mitchell had a few shots on net, with only one making it's way in. Claire caught the re-bound from Alia's blocked shot to slip it in beside the pipe, marking her fifth of the season.
 Sunday the team was on the road again to Parkhill, to play North Middlesex. The team played together well, but were no match for the well-rested North Middlesex team. Allowing 1 goal and not scoring any of their own.
Back to practice on Tuesday.....
