U18 E&F LL Meteors Wrap Up
The 2023/24 E&F Mitchell Meteors U18 Local League season came to an end Monday, March 18th with a 6 to 3 loss to the Central Perth Predators but enjoyed a most successful and fun season.

Thanks to the dedication that head coach Brad Beuermann, assistant coach Jeff Hannon, along Trainer Jody Catalan and Trainer Steve Ryan brought to the team week in and out, the U18 Meteors came prepared to play in every game.  The Meteors finished the regular season with 12 wins, 3 loses and 3 ties for 27 points putting them second only to the undefeated Arthur Vipers.  The Meteors scored 69 goals which was third most in their division while only allowing 36 against which was second best in the division.  With Aedan McCann standing tall in net he would go on to record nine shut outs with the help of the strong defensive minded team out in front of him.

The Meteors entered three tournaments in total that were held in Strathroy, Wellesley, and Goderich.  The U18 Meteors would compete for the championship in two of the three tournaments held in Wellesley and Goderich placing runner-up, while making it to the Semi-Finals in Strathroy to be eliminate by St. Thomas who would win that tournament.

The U18 Playdowns would see the Meteors win 3 games and lose 5.  Two of their loses would come in the first two games of the playdowns, in which, they would fight hard to go into overtime action.  If those two overtime loses went their way the Meteors would now be off to the championship to face Walkerton that won the North.

Thank you to all the coaches, players, parents and anyone who helped out to make the 2023/24 season for the U18 LL Meteors such a great success.
