U11s edge out Mid-Huron Huskies
Aiden Crawford led the way with points in a 6-4 win over the Mid Huron Huskies Wednesday night.
In a very back-and-forth game, the combined effort of all players and all lines helped the U11s bring home a win.
After the first two periods, the Huskies trailed the Meteors 3-2. Early Mitchell goals were scored by Jackson Schoonderwoerd (x2) and Myles Havens. Aiden Crawford assisted on each of these goals.
In the third period, Mitchell was down 4-3 when Parker Wolfe found the net to tie the game. Ten seconds later Aiden Crawford responded with a goal of his own to pull ahead of the Huskies 5-4.
In the last minute of play, the Huskies pulled their goalie; Owen Dietrich danced around at centre ice and found the empty net to secure the win.
In net, Jack Laverty made some sweet glove saves!
Up next, Hanover on Saturday.
