(Barely) a second to spare!
What a game! Mitchell hosted the Goderich Sailors on Wednesday night.
Goderich found the net first to grab the lead. Logan Broughton, assisted by Brady Brown, responded with a goal to tie it up. The second period saw a lot of chances, and a tonne of action for both goalies, but no goals. Early in the third Kyle Burtenshaw scored, assisted by Aiden Crawford and Parker Wolfe. Goderich fired back a few minutes later to hold the tie.
A tie was looking like the likely outcome, until Parker Wolfe snagged the puck from the defensive zone and managed to get around the Goderich players. On a breakaway, Wolfe scored with 1.5 seconds left on the clock to secure the win. Such an exciting end to the game!
Goalie Jack Laverty had glove saves, toe saves and stopped multiple breakaways. A great team effort! Happy Birthday to Kyle Burtenshaw and Cole Ulch!
