One win, one loss this week
The McDonald's Valumart U11s played twice this week.
On Wednesday they hosted Hanover. Halfway through the second period it was looking dicey as Hanover was up 2-0. Kyle Burtenshaw's goal with 4:10 left in the second changed the pace of the game and rallied the team. Logan Broughton followed suit with a goal and Burtenshaw added another before the end of the period. In the third period, Brady Brown found the net and Hanover added one more. Final score: Mitchell 4, Hanover 3. A hard fought win!
On Sunday night the U11s hosted Kincardine. After the first period neither team had found the net. Early in the second, Logan Broughton scored on an assist from Aiden Crawford. Kincardine pulled ahead of Mitchell in the third period with three goals. Final score: Mitchell 1, Kincardine 3.
U11s host Drayton on Wednesday and travel to Southhampton on Thursday.
